This month at Sheble’s we kept busy with many students from near and far. Keeping cool with Sea Plane ratings in the Beech-18 and Super Cub on floats. We also took some time to soar with the birds while doing Glider ratings. We kept the Beechcraft Travelairs and Cessna 172’s busy doing Single and Multi Engine ratings.
This month also brings Badi to the end of his training. Badi came to us from Cancun, Mexico, he enrolled in The Sheble Aviation Professional Pilot Course. During Badi’s time here at Sheble’s he become a part of the “Sheble Family” welcoming new students and helping them feel at home, he’s always there with a smile even if he had a rough day. We’ve really enjoyed having Badi here and he is going to be missed. Congratulations Badi on your many accomplishments! We look forward to seeing you for those Flight Instructor Ratings….
Have a great month everyone! Make sure to come see us when your ready for your next rating, we do it all from glider to sea plane and everything in between!

We had a busy week here at Sheble’s we put the entire spectrum of training to work. It’s a fun week when you have everything going. This week we put the sea, sail and tail to work. The week began with the multi-engine sea rating in the Beech-18, look out boats here comes the Beech on floats!! Our next venture was sailing in the glider for some ratings. We’ve had wonderful conditions for gliding. Then we moved on for some tail wheel time in the Super Cub, but we didn’t stop there! We got the newly restored Navion out and up for some flight time. What a great job on the restoration, she sure is a beauty.
When you think “What rating am I going to get next?”. See what category you fall into the sea, sail or tail here at Sheble’s. Have a great week everyone!

The air to a glider pilot is a reality. . . . He is trying to understand it in all its moods; to learn its flow, its laws, and to try and use this knowledge to his own ends.— Philip Wills

What month we had!! The weather has been strictly VFR with temperatures in the low 100′s, though the heat has been abundant we’ve still managed to keep busy, starting early and finishing early.
We would like to congratulate this months students on completing their ratings! We managed to accomplish a lot with the extreme temperatures. Keep an eye out for our new addition next month: Monthly stats.
We all know this month was Oshkosh time, this brought on an adventure for the three Joe’s. Jo-Jo and Joseph flew the Super Cub cross country to the fly in. Joe Senior took a commercial flight and met them a few days later. They camped under the wing of the plane telling stories of times passed and making new memories that will last a life time. During their trip Joseph turned 17, Happy Birthday Joseph!, what a way to celebrate! More tales of Oshkosh from the Joe’s next month.
Well July is done and in the books, looking forward to a new month with lots of students!! Are you looking for a GREAT finish to the summer? Come see us for a sea plane rating!

Fun in the Sun
Today has been another fantastic day @ Sheble’s in Sun Valley.
We had another private pilot pass his checkride yesterday, congrats to Steve! Just this week alone we’ve had a few private pilots make giant steps towards their goals. We have a few new, highly motivated commercial ASEL and AMEL applicants who are well on their way to accomplishing their Commercial Certificates. Our Instrument course has a new course study guide which should be helpful for completing the rating in just 10 days. The temperature has been beautiful as of lately, especially in the mornings!
See you soon!
