Course Description

The AMEL (IFR) is a two day course, starting with ground school at 10:00 a.m. (AZ time) on the first day. Ground school covers aircraft systems, maneuvers, and engine out procedures. You will fly 2-3 hrs this day. The second day is 2-3 hours of flight training and a check ride. Training consists of steep turns, stalls, slow flight, engines out procedures, vmc demo, drag demo, and engine out landings, and an instrument approach.

Course Includes

Instructor and aircraft time are included in the total price. This is a 2 day course. Please bring your own headset.

Pre-Course Requirements

  • Private Pilot License
  • Instrument rating
  • Valid FAA Medical
  • Students must bring a birth certificate or passport.
