Cessna Skyhawk (172) / Mooney M-20B or Cessna 172RG

Course Description

The certified flight instructor course is approximately 8 days. The course covers: fundamentals of instructing, technical subject areas, preflight preparation, ground operations, airport operations, takeoffs and climbs, fundamentals of flight, stalls, spins, maneuvering during slow flight, basic instrument maneuvers, performance maneuvers, ground reference maneuvers, emergency operations, approaches and landings, and after-landing procedures.

Course Includes

The CFI training includes up to 5 hours of flight time, 4 hours of ground school a day, and 4 to 6 hours of study time at night. The cost includes aircraft time, instructor material. Please bring your own headset.

Pre-Course Requirements

  • Commercial pilots license
  • Valid FAA Medical
  • Instrument rating
  • Original FIA and FOI written results
  • Students must bring a birth certificate or passport.

Multi Engine Instructor (MEi)

Course Description

The MEI add on is a two day course, starting with ground school at 10:00 a.m. (Arizona time) on the first day. During your ground school the instructor will cover systems on the multi engine aircraft, weight and balance, emergency procedures, lesson plans, etc.

The second day will be your training and check ride for the MEI. The instructor will cover everything in the Multi Engine Instructor PTS. Once you are up to standards the instructor will sign your log book for the check ride.

At that point one of our on-staff examiners will conduct your check ride.

Aircraft and instructor are included in the course price. This is a 2 day course. Please bring your own headset.

Pre-Course Requirements

  • Certified flight instructor’s license
  • 15 hours of multi engine PIC
  • Valid FAA medical

 

Certified Flight Instructor Instrument

Course Description

The CFII course is a two day course, starting with ground school at 10:00 a.m. on the first day (Arizona time). Ground school covers systems on the aircraft, FARS, instrument approach procedures, lesson plans, etc.

The second day is about four to five hours of flight training which consist of bringing you up to PTs standards. Once you are proficient in your flight, our instructor will endorse your log book for a CFII check ride.

At which point your training is complete you will take your check ride with one of our on-staff examiner.
